Gophert CPS-3205 Front Panel Connector

The Gohpert CPS-3205 and the rest of the CPS line are amazing inexpensive lab bench power supplies with one really annoying feature - No front panel connectors. This solves that. I've mounted bananas, but because I can't be sure of what you have and making holes is pretty easy, I've just uploaded the blank front panel. This clips on the side and is reasonably solid for general use. Will this fit other Gophert CPS power supplies? I don't know. I suspect it will fit all of the low end CPS and CPS-C (EU) models but newer and larger capacity units will probably need adjustment. Attached are three versions of the object files. An STL of a single object with subtractive objects active. An STL of the separated objects hoping that it works if you want/need to tweak it for your own use. Print Settings Printer: Turnigy Fabrikator Mini Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 15% Notes: 195C with PLA - no heated bed, just painters tape. Post-Printing After printing - drill to taste, or model before printing! I'm surprised but the PLA was surprisingly simple to drill - used a slow drill to prevent melting just in case. It might be worth considering moving the power switch out to the front too! How I Designed This Tinkercad FTW The first tests were to see if I could get it to clip on the cooling fins. After I proved that could work I scaled up. There is a "bump" on the side that faces the power supply to provide some friction so that it doesn't want to move too much. It's still way better than having to go all the way around back and shortening all my leads by a foot.
