GoPro Gyro

GoPro Gyro

thingiverse

My son recently bought a GoPro Hero4 Session camera. I designed the "gyro" for my work and customized it by adding a fixture/handle, making it fit the standard GoPro Hero line of accessories. You can find a camera mount here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53680 and add a handle such as: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:278035 or http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:487964. You only need 4 M5 nuts for the middle ring. The six holes in the outer ring is only there to strengthen the geometry. You may wish to use M5 nuts in some of them if you are planning to use the gimball with a more expensive (or heavier) camera than the GoPro. Thankyou to the community for sharing your designs. Please share photos if you make your own. You only need the following 5 STL-files: Ring1_Core + Ring2_Flat + Ring2_HexSide + Ring3 + 4xDybler_8.6_14.2mm. PS: For the bold: Gyro_M5_Assembled.stl is printable in one go and completes in 3 hours and 40 minutes with 60 mm/sek and 0.15 mm layerthickness. You need to spend some time cleaning away supportmaterial and "massage" the axis to get rid of the friction. Please note, that I have updated the orientation of the handle in relation to the axis since the first print.
