GoPro Hero 3 Open Frame

GoPro Hero 3 Open Frame

I needed a frame for my GoPro Hero 3 in order to mount it face-down while having access to all the ports, buttons, etc. I found this original frame design (the one that this is a remix of) and it worked great, but I wanted it to be a bit more polished, and also to have a right-side-up version of the frame. So I made this one. New and improved features I added include: - rounded edges and corners (not sharp) - better aligned lens and wifi button cutouts - added cutouts for top LED (beside shutter button) and front LEDs (wifi and recording) - thinner walls for faster printing and all-around lower profile - removed excess "tab" near mounting bracket - extra STL with mounting bracket on the bottom The camera fits snug inside the frame (not too tight, but not loose) and doesn't fall out on its own. I love these frames, they're very versatile and convenient. I've found them most useful for: - dedicated tripod where you don't want to tear down the setup to get the camera in and out - stable camera mount where you wish to insert/remove the SD card without moving the camera - steady mount where you need access to the HDMI/USB ports without removing the camera from the frame (great for video streaming via HDMI, or multi-day timelapse while charging)
