Gopro Hero 5 Stabilizer

I had an old gimbal that I wanted to put to use. I also wanted to see if my object was in the frame, so I added an old phone car mount, and it works great. This gimbal was designed for a hero4, so I printed a hero5 camera mount and used two 3m bolts and nuts to attach it to the gimbal's camera plate. This allowed me to adjust the roll and pitch of the gimbal. You will have to use something to balance the yaw. I used an old wheel weight from a car. To control the gimbal I used a joystick and configured it through the storm32 GUI. Works perfect, If you get the joystick listed below you can control pan, tilt, one button press for re-centering and two/three button press to select pan mode(PAN, PAN, PAN/PAN, HOLD, PAN) wiring diagrams will be attached. To power the gimbal I used three 18650 batteries in series, which provides enough power to get the job done. You can use any battery configuration that you see fit. Only use 2s to 4s. Change the design as you need to. I remixed this using Tinkercad. You can have enough controllers and IMUs but if you want just the joystick it can probably found on amazon or ebay for a cheaper price. Test Footage. it is edited but no stabilization was added.
