Since finding valid ND filters for GoPro Hero 8 is difficult, (I find not valid magnetic ND filters since it's very easy to lose them especially with FPV) I decided to design this official GoPro rollcage filter replacement to house a Telesin ND filter (https://www.amazon.com/TELESIN-Pro-Lens-Filter-Kit/dp/B088814N57/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=telesin+gopro+hero+8+nd&qid=1599685182&sr=8-1). Telesin filters are easy to separate from the frame to extract the glass (with a little pressure). The glass fits exactly into this design. Happy making!
