GoPro Hero 9 Dive Housing Lens Cap

This is a lens cap for the GoPro Hero 9 Official dive housing. This print only works for the official housing and is meant to protect the lens of the dive housing against scratches during transport or when unused during diving. The design uses a press-fit design that can easily be taken off while still offering a relatively tight fit that will not fall off on itself. A 3mm hole is provided for a tether in case you want to use this underwater. The assumed (approximate) dimensions of the lens (square=46mm*46mm, h=5mm, radius=15mm) the design should offer a press fit that does not damage the housing (small pillars provide the pressure). A fillet has been added to the inside to make sure that any artifacts on the inside surface (or sand) will not scratch on the lens itself. Printed with a skirt, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.15mm layer height and 20% infill. Higher infill is recommended if using it underwater. FAQ: Q: Why a cover instead of a filter? A: A filter is not always needed, I wanted a cover to protect the lens when I am not holding it during diving. Q: How to attach the tether? A: You can attach it similar to a filter - through the metal bar that attaches the back door to the housing. Alternatively you can attach it to the mount. Q: My design is slightly too loose - how to fix it? A: Some printers might have different tolerance levels - I would try to increase the flow rate a little Q: My design is slightly too tight A: Are you using the official Hero 9 housing? - if yes, ghosting might cause some unwanted thickness on the inside, decrease the printing speed
