GoPro HERO Session Mount for FPV Quadcopters

GoPro HERO Session Mount for FPV Quadcopters

thingiverse

A simple, detachable mount for your GoPro HERO Session that doubles as a battery strap buckle. This allows you to remove your GoPro easily when it's time to race! We designed this for the Theory 250 frame but it can be used with any top mounted battery! To complete the assembly, just wrap your GoPro in 1/4" thick adhesive-backed insulation foam which can be found at any home improvement store like Lowes, Home Depot, etc. Don't forget to put a little square on the back too. Insert your foam-wrapped GoPro into the mount and strap it down to the top of your battery. The compressed foam will dampen vibrations, protect your GoPro in a crash, and hold it securely until you push it back out. The mount angle is 35º to keeps the props out of the shot while maintaining a view of the horizon in level flight and aggressive forward flight. With the Theory 250 quadcopter shown, no props are visible even in ultra-wide Superview mode. On some other quads though, it may be necessary to use standard 1080p mode or attach the mount at the front of the quad. Don't forget that you can also tuck your balance connector under the mount.
