GoPro Session - ADV visor mount (Arai XD4)

This is a mount I designed to hold a GoPro Session camera and be attached to the visor of an Arai XD4 motorcycle helmet. The GoPro Session model I have is the "HERO Session" (purchased in 2016). The mount has holes designed for 1/4-20 threaded inserts (melted into the holes with a soldering iron). You need to drill two holes into your visor and the I used plastic 1/4-20 screws to hold the mount in place. 3M mushroom-head "Dual Lock" material is applied to the back of the Session and the inside of the mount. You slide the camera in and it clicks in place. Push the bottom of the camera outwards to remove. The mount gives you access to the power bottom (lower back), and the main record button on top. You can also see the camera info screen. While riding, the red recording LED is visible, too. The mount positions about half of the camera below your visor. This helps keep it lower-profile. However, it takes a little getting used to because the lower half of the camera is in your field of vision. I used this mount on a 3200mi dirt trip across the western US (https://youtu.be/pW_g37O8gL0). It never came off and worked fine. I might consider raising the camera a bit if I made another version. Use at your own risk. Ride safe and enjoy.
