GoPro Session ND Filter Case

GoPro Session ND Filter Case

I wanted to use the TBS glass ND filters for my FPV videos. I liked how easy the ND filters are to swap on the later versions of gopros and wanted something that would take a few seconds to swap out. Most people use TPU to make these cases, but if that isnt an option for you, this is an alternative. I like to use the couch design for my FPV quads, so I made this to match all of my requirements. This is the couch I use for my current freestyle build: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4848865 **Tips** I printed this in PETG so you may have different results, but this was my process to get the perfect fit for both filter and gopro. - Use a scalpel to cut away any stringing - Slightly trim away the fileted corners to help the filter fit in - Test fit the filter glass. It shouldn't quite fit just yet but it should be able to fit in one side at once - Use a heat gun to warm up the plastic. As soon as you see the sides start to wilt, its ready. - Make sure the filter is the correct orientation! Push one side into place and push down until the filter pops into place. If it starts to cool and isnt quite in, heat up the plastic again (Dont worry, the glass wont break at this temp) - Once in place, make sure the side walls havent fallen in or out. I held it so then went in slightly. - Shove in the gopro (it should be quite tight) - Heat up the plastic again evenly but not all the way to make the plastic wilt again. (This will make the case fit perfectly to the gopro) And you're done. You should be able to slide it in and out but it will be snug :)
