GoPro Suction Mount Short

GoPro Suction Mount Short

thingiverse

A short replacement arm for the GoPro Suction Mount, using parts from the arm itself. Instructions I wanted to mount my GoPro closer to the fastening surface. The newer models of the GoPro Suction Cup Mount has a piece like this, but my old version did not. Modeled in Solidworks, I printed it with 4 shells, 30% infill, 200 micron layers, using PET filament from Formfutura on a Rep2. Rotate 5.37 degrees (add 180/90 degrees in the odd axis as well) to make it flush, I printed without supports. Needed a little bit of scraping around the nut and the slots for the locking-gear, I see that as a good thing, tight fit! :) This should make vibrations and drag less of an issue. I am not really that worried about my GoPro (it is in the duty of getting shots that could kill it), and take no responsibility if it kills your camera, but it should work.
