Gopro Tripod Mount with Nut Insert

Gopro Tripod Mount with Nut Insert

thingiverse

This is a Gopro tripod mount I made for a monopod. I tried to download one from thingiverse but no one had a good design with a nut insert that would keep it locked tight to the pod. Just go to your local hardware store and get a 1/4 nut and put it in the open slot with some super glue and your good to go! Use a nail file or similar to file the excess inside the hole to make the nut fit snug, also between the wedges to make a tight fit and not stretch the print apart. It will snap if you do trust me I've redesigned this model about 4 times before uploading this one. Price on the nut is cheaper that a bag of rocks. Here you are guys hope this help anyone in the same situation out as me. Enjoy! P.S. I tweaked the first version of the uploaded file to make some of the gaps tighter, please feel free to download the latest version. Print Settings Printer: XYZ Printing Da Vinci 1.1 Plus Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Fine Infill: 90% Solid Notes: Try to print at the highest resolution with support. This should give you the best result for the gopro holes and the nut insert. Use a small flat head screw to remove the support in the nut hole and a nail file to clean it up. The rest should be very easy to remove. Custom Section GoPro Tripod Mount with Nut Insert.
