Goro is a fictional character from the universe of Mortal Kombat, created by ed boon and John Tobias. He first appears in the original Mortal Kombat game as a boss who challenges the player before the final fight with Shang Zong. Goro belongs to a race called Shokan, four-armed creatures, half-human half-dragon. For 500 years, Goro was the champion of the mortal Kombat tournament before being defeated by the future champion Liu Kang in the original game. Unlike most of the characters in the game, which were digitized models of live actors, Goro was a clay sculpture animated through puppet animation technology.
