Screwless geared gothic christmas star inspired by and based on Emmet's screwless heart gears. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ustSNzWXW8E&index=2&list=PLjyMKCncbmVsHwwdBXkoW7OEaO5cSRxmc Instructions Constructed a star with 123D Design, imported it to underlying Open SCAD files by Emmet, adjusted the SCAD script, rendered it, sliced he resulting STL file accordingly and printed it in black PLA, which took 16 hours just for the 8 gears with 0.2mm layer thickness, 1.2mm shell thickness and 5% infill. The thing is rock solid and assembling it really is some work - I found generic silicon oil as lubricant being my best friend :-) Without that, the thing would have been way to stirdy... the pinholes turned out to be very tight... well... now it works a treat! :-)
