GRAFLEX MAKING JIG

GRAFLEX MAKING JIG

thingiverse

This is a drilling/cutting jig to make your own graflex replica. Intended to fit around an 1.5" chromed sink-tube. ( metal pipe same with diam will work) The Graflex lightsaber was used by Anakin, Luke and Rey. (Finn too). They are not orientated on the build-plate properly. Please lay with flat side down for the dimple jig and other parts. (fusion360 "bug" aka post-process laziness on my behalf) use a bolt and nut for the dimple jig. Look at accurate graflex photo's for reference. Blade holder should line up perfectly with the jig and finished diy replica. The bunny ears are very difficult to print properly, print slow. The clamp is intended for the threaded sink tubes. If you cut your sink tube in half, you can preserve the threads ( use the jig on the unthreaded half ) and create a reveal saber. You can always sand down the threads and just slip it on. It has holes for AV switch if you like. Drill the holes for the bunny ear cut-out first, to avoid bending of the sink tube/metal tube. Purchase small metal files to square off the two holes on the front side. Cheers! (non-commercial licence is to avoid seeing this on Shapeways etc. as a product from someone else, I have no issues if you plan on selling the finished lightsaber you produce/create with this jig. )
