Grand Canyon Display Model

thingiverse

This model is derived from the Grand Canyon South Corridor, to occupy a display case for public viewing. It is larger than the original by 3.7X, taking up 740mm x 570 x 95. It was sliced (horizontal plane) with MeshMixer into two main halves which are separated by the river, and sliced again according to how much would fit on a 30 x 30cm bed. Printed in white PETG with 3% infill. The pieces were printed, then glued together with epoxy, piece by piece to make the two halves. They were set on a blue plexiglass sheet to simulate the river down the middle.
