The ancestral trail was a comic from the 90's with spectacular illustrations by Julek Heller, I fell in love with the beasts of from the magical 'Ancestral World' and here is one of them, the murderous, blood sucking grapfrit. They were slightly larger than a coconut and would fly in swarms, descending on their victims like giant mosquitoes.
