17th-18th century gravestone in the kirkyard of the former St Martins Church, Strathmiglo, Fife, Scotland. This gravestone is located in the south west corner of the kirkyard/graveyard. A skull features promionently on the east side while on the west is an hourglass, eye and the initials A M M C The lower M looks as though it could be the top of a set of shears, but I’m not sure. This gravestone is one of around 30 17th-18th century gravestones at this location, many are more elaborate than this one, in failing light this stone attracted me by its simplicity.
