This is a mechanical car without any electronics,running with gravitational potential energy of a 1kg counterweight only.While the counterweight is falling,its potential energy is converting to kinetic energy,pulling the rope wrapped around the wheel shaft.The trajectory of the car is like the number 8 because of a cylindrical cam used for steering mechanism. The car has been made for a special competition.As the designer,I programmed for its trajectory simlulation using C++.What is more,the simulation animation in the independent virtual assembly is available.
