When using new rolls with a bigger diameter spindle with the Gravity Spool Holder, as the roll rewinds during a filament change cycle, it can gain a lot of kinetic energy. While the smaller diameter spools seem to work fine, larger ones can pull too much filament. In some cases even with a smaller spool the rotation continues after going all the way down when it is full. The effect of this is the end of the filament can be pulled out of the MMU2S enough to stop it from feeding properly.

My initial solution was just a binder clip, and it worked reasonably well, though on occasion the spool would jump over the clip and wind all the way down anyway, still causing an error.

These clips are easily moved up and down the geared teeth, but the wheel itself will keep it in place as it rewinds. It allows you to adjust the length of the run on the fly depending on the external diameter of your spooled filament and the weight of what is left.

These go on the downhill side of the ramp, with the point of the teeth pointing up the ramp. It just shortens the run for the rewind so it doesn't pull too much filament.

Print instructions

The slicer file is set for .2 layer height in PETG. There is no good way to print this without supports, so I tried to orient it so the running surface is at its best. It will take some time to get all the support material off though.

To print the left side model, just mirror the right in PrusaSlic3r.
