I needed an absolute shaft angle encoder for a project I'm working on and decided to print my own. I've printed the 5 and 6 bit versions, but not the 4 or 7. Enjoy. Instructions As is it fits a 1/2" shaft uses an R8Z bearing and #4-40 screws. There are constants at the beginning so these things are changeable. You may want to add a mounting ear or otherwise modify the mount to fit your project.
