This is a remix of rmcht’s Double Gear Grinder. I added the Dual Drive system of claxly because it is a great drive compared to the original but I made the gears 10.5 mm thick instead of claxly’s 8mm. This was done mostly because of a remake I am working on with an electric motor and wanted lots of gear but the extra thickness does make the hand crank very smooth. I remixed the body to include a much larger hopper and a handle on the side. I find the case to have sharp corners which can get uncomfortable when grinding vigorously. For those that are not ambidextrous there is left and right handle bodies to choose from. The larger hopper is to keep “stuff” from jumping out while grinding. I made a separate hinged lid to cover the top and is simply glued on the back, hinge pin is 22 ga. copper wire. The drawer is also 10mm deeper to accommadate the larger hopper capacity. I also made a crank handle / gear as one piece. Print with support. Screws needed are M3. Rounding over the edges of the gears with a file makes for no skinned knuckles. I had trouble printing the two square shafts getting the screw holes decent enough so I made shafts without holes and hand drilled holes when assembling. Original shafts included in Thing Files. A revised Large Burr wheel is included. I found that the triangle shaped teeth on the original did not grab the "material" very well so redesigned it to be more efficient. This burr is for any of the original versions of the Double Gear Grinders but not the bearing model. A USB powered motorized version is in the designing phase and will be posted in Thingiverse. Ender 3 .6mm nozzle .2 layer height body and crank gear need support.
