<p>The ratchet mechanism in common use for hanging grow lights work fine as long as the lights are easily in reach. If you have high ceilings and your plants are tall or you have them on a table for ease of access this becomes a problem requiring a ladder every time you want to adjust the light height. This is a simple device that slips over the ratchet so it can be placed at the ceiling with <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/113419-two-finger-t-pull">a pull cord</a> attached allowing you to lower the light simply by pulling the release cord while applying gentle tension on the pulley cord.
