GSG 522 Rifle Conversion

GSG 522 Rifle Conversion

I never liked the faux silencer on my GSG-522, so i decided to design an HK91 type conversion that makes it look like a proper rifle and not a neutered SBR. You will need a 4-40 screw and nut and a 6-32 screw and nut (or metric equivalents) to clamp the support to the original charging tube and the barrel. A note on this support and the barrel shroud, i have no idea how they will hold up to mag dumps, keep in mind that it's only plastic. The model for the handguard is one piece, i chose to print mine in three pieces so that i could use the "fuzzy skin" function in Cura to give the center section some texture. If requested, i will upload a selection of handguards that are sectioned at different lengths to account for different printer sizes. All parts were printed standing with the exception of the support, which was printed laying down flat with the barrel clamp facing up. Enjoy and don't forget all the legal blah blah blah... Update: I've redesigned the support and replaced the original that was uploaded previously. The gap was too wide on the bottom and could lead to cracking if the 6-32 screw was tightened too much. This new version should eliminate that possibility.
