GT2 Timing Belt Any Length! Parametric!

GT2 Timing Belt Any Length! Parametric!

thingiverse

This is a closed GT2 timing belt that can be whatever length (whatever number of teeth) you choose it to be. It is designed in Inventor 2018. If you bring up the file in that software, select the "fx" icon on the center of very top ribbon. Then change the number of "Teeth" to whatever you like, and click "done". The model will rebuild and then you will have a belt you can then export as a STL file, and then print in flexible material such as NinjaFlex, etc. The file make a belt that is a bit thicker than a true GT2 belt so that the belt will actually print correctly. It also has teeth a touch smaller (but the correct pitch) to make the 3D printed version mesh correctly with the GT2 cogs. Print with a skirt, not a brim. Set the starting point (or z-seam) to "shortest" so that you don't get pesky strings when the head travels.
