GU10 Bulkhead Mount Spotlight Socket

This is a simple bulkhead mount GU10 spotlight socket. It consists of two parts - the bulb holder (A), which uses two lengths of piano wire as springs and two 10mm pan head M3 steel or brass bolts as contacts, is printed using high definition (0.1mm layers) printer settings. The bulkhead mount (B2) does not require such precision. An additional insulating disc (B2A) is necessary if the bulkhead to which the socket is attached is made of conducting material and is inserted between the bottom of B2 and the bulkhead. It is 1.6mm thick. I used Osram LED Value PAR16 4.5W spotlights (AC32042) and found that the base is ~12°C above ambient, and the other end about 40°C above ambient in reasonably free air. PETG works well in this case, but higher temperature materials may be necessary with other lamps or more enclosed spaces, I have not experimented with this. Details of the printed GU10 base are also described as Thing 5030081.
