Setting up a floating tremolo for guitars can be tricky. The easiest, fastest and most accurate way of doing it in my opinion is using a tremolo wedge to lock the tremolo in place. The following video describes the process in detail (you can find a bunch of other tutorials on YouTube): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRs5YIm2hf8 I own a Schecter Sun Valley Super Shredder with a Floyd Rose tremolo and I got the best results with a wedge that does not have too steep of an angle. If you have issues with the recommended version of the tremolo wedge, you can download the alternative one that has more width and a steeper angle.
