Gun Safe Pistol Peg

Gun Safe Pistol Peg

PURPOSE: This is a pistol peg that I designed in AutoCAD for a SecureIT Agile Ultralight 40 and SecureIT Agile Ultralight 52 gun safes. Its meant to be mounted in the safe and will hold your hand guns for you by the barrel. It might be useful for other safes as well. SIZE: This is intended for 9mm / 0.380 and larger calibers. The peg itself is a little under 8mm in diameter so this will not fit your .22 and 5.7mm. I dont have anything in 32 ACP to test, but it should fit. It might be a tight fit and in that case I would suggest printing at 98% scale. WEIGHT: Printed in PLA at 100% infill it is able to hold a gun weighing 1075 grams with a 4.7 inch barrel. Most guns will be lighter than this, especially when not loaded. Also, tested on a much lighter gun with a 3 inch barrel. You can print with less than 100% infill, but I wouldn't recommend it. This is a weight bearing part. COMMENTS: If anyone wants to print this with other materials and do some testing, then I would appreciate it if you shared the results. I would be very interested to know how this holds up if printed in PTEG, ABS, or other materials. Feel free to contact me with comments.
