This is a 180 degree joint for 3" X 3" downspouts, should allow the downspout to be folded a full 180 degrees. Simply use a length of filament to form the joint, heat stake the ends of the filament with a soldering iron on low temp so it doesn't fall out. I've added images of the filament joint into the "post processing" section. I was able to insert the PETG filament without too much trouble, if you have any difficulty try using a small drill bit to clean out the joint. Note: use a UV resistant filament like PETG or TPU for outdoor use. Update - I found PETG to be not durable enough - layer separation becomes an issue with exposure and manipulation - TPU might be better. Updated 8/11/2020, added brim to help with print adhesion Updated 8/31/2020, added a 2 X 3 sized version, note I don't have any samples of 2 X 3 spouts to base design on so you might need to scale slightly - hopefully scaling won't affect the joint too much Updated 9/5/2020, joint was far too weak, vastly increased the size of the joint to improve strength Updated 10/9/2020, added some strain relief to the screw holes for 3 x 3 model after observing layer separation in PETG parts. TPU seems superior in this regard as no separation was observed in parts I printed in TPU.
