Tyre truer for slot cars in scale 1:32 and 1:24 Befeed-up some of the components. Print Settings Printer: Velleman Vertex K8400 Notes: The tyre shaft is the standard 3/32" with the bronze bearings (one side flange only). The sanding wheel is a market component with shaft OD 6 mm and sanding wheel OD approx 28 mm. The register screw is a regular M3, 40 mm long. I turned the head down to a hair less than 4 mm. The motor design was originated from what I had in hand with a OD 28 mm motor from an unknown toy car. OD motor shaft 2 mm. Motor pulley is pressed in and should be best made in metal material (mine is from brass). I used a set of reamers to ensure precise holes and threading taps to take care of dressing the threads where necessary. You need around 30 mm length of precise 5 mm rod for the pivoting of the swing arm. I tried initially an M5 screw but it adds unnecessary small clearance. To fix the vertical bearing and motor support you need nr. 3 M4 screws 12mm long with V's heads. I used a NSR rim as the tyre shaft pulley for better strength. The sanding wheel bushing should be from bronze bearing grade although it works fine with the printed one but I haven't tested it for long. Custom Section
