My 3D printers run on Klipper, and because of the chip shortage I use inexpensive TV boxes as a replacement for Raspberry Pis. These TV boxes do not have any GPIOs brought out, so connecting an accelerometer to calibrate the Klipper input shaper requires a secondary MCU, connected via USB. I use the Arduino Nano in conjunction with a GY-521 Accelerometer (MPU6050) for this. Since the accelerometer board has 2 mounting holes but one of them is unusable due to a directly adjacent component, I quick and dirty designed and printed a lightweight press-fit case for it and an equally simple case for the Nano. No screws, no lids, just "potted" with hot glue. The hot glue also secures the soldered wires from tearing off. The attachment of the accelerometer to the printer's Y-carriage is printed and remains on the print bed for measurement.
