After presenting „Gyroscope with Precession” (see Gyroscope with precession ), here is a new original project. This time the gyroscope is placed on a revolving arm by using a double rod as an unique part.Made with Autodesk Inventor 2014 as a Dynamic simulation. The actions are the imposed rotation of the flywheel (10000 rot/min) and the gravitation force. The fly-wheel starts the rotation at the second 3 and the full speed is reached in 0.0001 seconds - till the second 3.0001. This can be considered a instantaneous start.You can change the settings of the speed by using the info in the attached picture „Imposed Motion.jpg”. Stop the rotation by unchecking the Enable cell.By watching the video you can notice how curious is the movement of mobile parts because of the notable speed of the flywheel. Despite this, you can see here https://youtu.be/008ZS2TzNP8 the same gyroscope starting from the same position, but without any rotation of the flywheel. The movement is no more curious.All the parts and the assembly are made with Inventor 2014. You can download all of them, and then enter the Environments/Dynamic Simulation to make your settings and watch what happens.Enjoy!
