This is a model for a diy rail vacuum for usage in H0 or 00 gauge wagon. It was designed for use in a Lima 303161 railcar, but it should fit in any you wagon you dare to sacrifice for making a vacuum. The design is based on the same principle used by the Dapol railvac. The fanblade is designed for a 2 mm axle so keep that in mind when scaling it. The hole is made such that it needs driling out with a 1,9 mm drill for a tight fit without glue. This keeps the fanblade detachable which simplifies removing dust from it. Instead of the lid I desgined some meshwiring can be used if smaller holes are necessary, or when scaling to a different gauge. The outside dimensions are 40 mm x 22 mm so keep that in mind when planning your conversion. Other components one wil need to make this work is an electric motor and a way to get it turning. This can be done either by battery or like I did with pickups on the wheel.
