Hairdryer to space heater conversion

I wanted a heater for my 3D printer enclosure, but the super-easy options were all inconveniently large. Instead, I decided to "remix" this hairdryer: https://www.amazon.com/Conair-1875-Turbo-Dryer-Black/dp/B019FNCXLQ/ (Probably, anyway. Mine was several years old. Hopefully the hairdryer design hasn't changed much.) It uses these M3 inserts for screw retention: https://www.mcmaster.com/#94180a333/ There's a hole at the bottom for this temperature sensor: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DQQPR2A/ If you don't want to buy or install (soldering iron) heat-set inserts, you could resize the holes and use self-tapping screws.
