Halcyon Data Tape

Halcyon Data Tape

This is very similar to a data tape one might encounter while on a galactic star cruiser. The intent is to use a 3mm green LED and a 3mm screw for the parts named LED and rivet. If you have a resin printer I guess you could print those, but it would be sort of silly. A filament printer probably won't even be able to print so small. Update May 24: I have printed and finished one! I went back and refined a few of the parts to make them easier to deal with, but overall I am calling this "done" Update May 13: I've been collecting more images and refining the model. Lots of additional detail in there now. Assembly notes: - The center post serves to align the middle details. On the original prop this is clear, so that a light can shine through behind it. If you can, printing it in clear resin/filament would look cool. - Don't print the LED and rivet if you can avoid it -- just use an LED and a rivet. - The center gear can probably be left unglued to spin. Not sure, but it might work. - I think the raised details on the sides should print unsupported. They don't stick out far and the edges are beveled.
