Just started learning mesh modeling this summer, and thought this would a fun way to practice. I had fun printing this and thought I'd share. Keep in mind that though I've tried to preserve the major features of the original, my model does lack some of the details. Also, I made the lower half of the gun removable to make printing a little easier. Print Settings Printer: Delta Style Printer Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 mm Infill: 10 % Notes: This model was made in 3ds Max using generic units and I didn't pay any attention to the scale, so it's probably going to come through looking huge when you bring the file into your slicing software of choice. For my print, I set the imported units to inches and set the scale to .05. I set my infill to 10% to save print time and set support's to 80% solid with a 0.3 mm gap between the support and the part. You will notice there are two separate magazine files, the "Tight Fit" version should be used when scaling the model up larger, (say for instance if you wanted to print it so that it fit your hand.) Post-Printing Printing Orientation I already removed the supports in this image, but it does correctly show the orientation I used for printing. Assembled The final model came out pretty well, all things considered, but I did still have a fair amount of clean up to do on the bottom edges of both pieces. Part of this is probably due to the failings of my little home brew printer, so if someone does a better job, I'd love to see it!
