BlocksCAD is a free online software that teaches students how to code and design using Computer Aided Design. With BlocksCAD, students will create a 3D Hamburger by designing it from scratch. They'll use their existing skills in creating shapes, applying translation, rotation (optional), and implementing difference to make the top bun of the hamburger. Students will develop computational thinking skills to build something they can actually 3D print! To prepare this model for printing, you should print each part of the hamburger separately. We suggest printing in a light color first, then coloring the pieces with permanent markers. The Hamburger Activity is suitable for students in 3rd - 6th grade who have basic BlocksCAD experience. As an educator, you can create a free trial of our BlocksCAD for Education platform to manage student work and create classes with unique join codes.
