These are the pieces to create an arm for a BunRaku style puppet. There are additional parts besides the printed pieces necessary. For full files please check out: https://github.com/owenscenic/Open-Bunraku-Puppets/tree/master/Bunraku Instructions Print a shoulder piece, and elbow parts 1 and 2. There are two little 'pancakes' at the ends of of Elbow part1, they need to be clipped off. They are there to help those thin ends stay on the platform as it prints. I do not recommend printing the Shoulder and Elbowpt2 vertically. They are stronger when printed horizontally when used in the puppet arm. Print our each hand piece. There are ones for right and left. Glue the 6" long piece of dowel rod into the hole of the shoulder piece. Glue the other end of the dowel into the Elbow Part #1. Drill out the hinge holes of both of your elbow parts with a 1/8" drill. Insert a piece of 3mm plastic filament thru both elbow pieces. THis will act as the hinge pin for the elbow. Cut the Brass tubing to length. Insert one end of the Brass tubing into "Arm-Elbow2" opposite of where the hinge is. Run control rod thru Elbow2 and the brass tubing. To connect to your hand, you will need to drill a hole the size of your control rod and glue it in place.
