I love my Astro-Tech 8" Richey-Chretien scope. But it is super-awkward to handle without grabbing the focusing tube, which potentially screws up the collimation. This handle slips onto the rear of the Vixen rail; since the scope is so back-heavy, it stays on nicely. It's intentionally a pretty tight fit so you might need to tap it gently to get it on or off. The handle is hollow so you can sight through it to approximate where your scope is pointing. Of course, you could slice off the handle part and substitute your own thing, this will serve as a solid Vixen saddle for whatever you care to mount. DISCLAIMERS! ============ This friction-fits tightly on my rail, but might be loose on yours. Likewise, it seems to have printed strong enough to work at 20% infill, but it's up to you whether to trust your scope to it. I use it mostly as a grip, while I support the scope by the Losmandy rail, but I do carry it by the handle too.
