Handles for small taps (sae and metric)

thingiverse

This Thing is a set of handles for the smaller sized sae and metric taps that I use frequently on my projects. I am mostly tapping into plastic so the loads are low and even a small T handle is cumbersome. These make tapping those small holes a breeze! The handles are marked on one side with the thread size and on the other with the recommended tap drill size for plastic. I will still use one drill size smaller than recommended on printed ABS to keep the threads tight. Some post processing will probably be required for a tight fit on your taps. I even found that the sizes vary slightly based on the color I am printing. I printed mine at 10% infill. I printed them standing on the bed and they seemed to stick without rafts or brims. (Not like they show in the STL previews, rotate 180, flat end down.) Chuck Print Settings Printer Brand: LulzBot Printer: Mini Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Infill: 10%
