Slide an envelope or memo into the slot and the floating barrel will take hold of it by wedging action and simple gravity. Notes can be removed by sliding them sideways or by lifting the barrel with your finger. I use it to accumulate outgoing mail near a door where I will see it when I leave home each morning. There's a video showing how it works at http://mysd300.blogspot.com/2011/12/hands-free-memo-holder.html Instructions There are two versions of the note holder body: the simple Noteholder.stl only holds papers in its lower slot, as illustrated. The Noteholder_with_hook2.stl adds slots in the top walls that can be used to hang lightweight objects. Build either Noteholder_barrel.stl or Noteholder_cylinder.stl to go inside the memo holder. This floating piece grips papers by wedging action. The barrel works best with my PVC material, but other materials (eg: ABS, PLA, etc.) might work better with the cylinder.
