The purpose of my desk organizer design was to create a way for students in online school to organize things they use such as pencils, notebooks/paper, chargers, and headphones. When creating my design a goal I had was to make something that did not get in the way or take up too much space on a desk or table, but still helped organize school materials. So I designed an organizer that can hang either on the side of a desk or on a wall. To complete those goals I added holes in the top part of my organizer that you can hang it from, an area for pencils, pens, and scissors, a small drawer for small stationery like erasers and paperclips, and three hooks at the bottom for chargers and headphones. While making my organizer some issues I had were figuring out a way for it to hang that would work in multiple situations. I actually did redesign it because I kept thinking of new things to add on and they were not layered correctly. I think 3D printing my design would strengthen my design because I could see how things really fit and how it worked. I would also be able to figure out what needs to be improved and what works well.
