A QRcode scan of this against a light background will take you to a RickRoll vid. Makes a great gift. I created this as an early test my Shapeoko 2 mill setup, but it could be made with a laser cutter, CNC plasma cutter, or 3D printer. The included gcode file is for an 8" x 8" x 0.3" cut suitable for, e.g., 1/4" or 1/5" plywood or MDF. Paint the front side flat black and display against a light background, or use it to cast a shadow somewhere interesting. I used Inkscape to generate the svg file, and Makercam to generate the gcode. Instructions I generated the original bitmap using web software, modified it with Paint so all parts are connected. I then used Inkscape to import the bitmap and generate the svg file, and Makercam to generate the gcode. I cut it from 1/5" Birch plywood using a ShapeOko 2 with a Dewalt DW660 spindle and a 1/8" carbide bit. Makercam settings were Profile, Step down=0.025 in, feed rate 30 in/min, plunge rate 10 in/min. The above settings are probably conservative. It took about 2 hours to cut.
