The ‘Hanging Wall Organizer’ is designed to make learning easier and more organized for students. With the use of this design, students will look forward to scheduling, planning, and managing their time. The chalkboard, cork board, and magnetic dry erase sections allow students to personalize their workstation, making it fit to their needs and even more enjoyable. The 3 file bins are a designated place to organize papers, notebooks, and any other materials that need to be stored. A 3D design will help my classmates with virtual learning because it allows them to customize their workstation, motivating them to stay up to date and organized at all times. The brainstorm and design process was not an easy step, but I was able to overcome many challenges. One issue I came up against was finding a way to make the product intriguing to all students, something that everyone would be able to utilize, not just a few. My goal was to allow everyone to make it their own, meaning they could individualize and adjust it to fit how they wanted. The solution I came up with was to use materials such as chalkboard, cork board, and magnetic dry erase that give students the luxury of organizing sticky notes, to do lists, schedules, and so much more in the way that would help them be successful. If I could redesign the ‘Hanging Wall Organizer’ the only thing I would change would be to add additional features, especially storage space that would be placed on the sides of the board. Having storage space hung on the wall, or not physically on a desktop, is beneficial because it doesn’t take away from the workspace surface and it's more accessible being in a general area that’s not in the way. I believe that 3D printing would strengthen my design, bringing it life and making it easier to access, revise, and test. The complexity of the design would still be produced and 3D printing would be an efficient way to make the design into a real life object that will benefit my classmates' lives.
