Harbor Freight 9 Inch Bandsaw 84T Gear

The Harbor Freight 1/3HP 9 in bandsaw is great for cutting wood, but the FPM of the blade is far too fast for cutting metal. Cutting aluminum is borderline fine, but cutting thicker steel will just melt the teeth. I've designed this gear upgrade for the Harbor freight bandsaw to change it's blade drive gear from 28 teeth to 84 teeth. This will reduce the factory blade speed of 2460 FPM down to just ~820 FPM. It's still a bit on the fast side for cutting metal, but given the space constraints, a pulley that's noticeably larger than 84 teeth, won't physically fit. The only way to reduce the ratio even further is to reduce the motor gear, but I wasn't able to remove the bolt that holds it in place because some genius decided to use an allen bolt. The bolt is siezed on, and the allen hole rounded before the bolt even broke loose. Too lazy to weld on a nut or something to get it off, anyways... The gear I designed is to be a "slip on", onto the factory gear. It will slide on and act as a larger gear, to give a larger reduction. Ideally, this should be printed with a SLA printer to get the best resolution, but a .4mm nozzle FDM printer *may* work too. For those of you who are going to print with a SLA printer, I *WILL* slice the pulley into 3 pieces, due to the limited build plate size of most resin printers. The 3 pieces can then be superglued together to form the entire gear. The timing belt needed is a uxcell 196XL 98 teeth 5.08/0.2" pitch 10mm width belt. After sanding and filing the piece, it now fits nicely over the factory gear. Still have to superglue the pieces together and wait for the belt to arrive. *****This is still a work in progress***** I have yet to print this and attach it on. But once I attach it on, I will also provide the part number for the appropriate length timing belt. (UXcell makes these timing belts of the same pitch and width. If you see this message, DO NOT PRINT IT YET (or you may waste filament). After I confirm that the fitment is perfect, I will remove this message and finalize everything.
