Harbor Freight Battery Adaptor

Harbor Freight Battery Adaptor

thingiverse

This part is designed to allow you to connect your own device to a cheap Harbor Freight drill battery, while still being able to easily remove and charge on the standard charger. The batteries provide 18V, and have a 1.3Ah capacity. With a simple regulator, you can easily use this battery to power Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LED lights, props, and robots. This mount fits tightly at first but slowly loosens over time. You can buy the batteries and chargers cheaply from Harbor Freight, but you can also find them on Amazon. You can buy the battery and the charger separate, but its often cheaper to buy the drill, which comes with a charger and a battery. I found that even in the same washer size, there were several different thicknesses mixed together, be sure to find the thinnest washers possible of the right diameter. The correct washers should fit snuggly, taking a small amount of force to fit in their slots. The design was originally created in Autodesk Inventor. The original design files and an STP were also included. Feel free to modify the designs, the files and fit them to your own purposes. If you make an improvement to the files, please email me at Contact@IndianaPrototyping.com so that I can incorporate them into this page.
