My 2008 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic was due for a fuel filter change and I didn't want to spend the $$$ on a specialized tool, so I designed it myself. Works great with a 1/2" ratchet (see pictures). Won't scratch the paint. If you feel you're having to use too much force, spray a little WD40 on the lock ring tabs before trying again. Wipe off excess WD40 right away! Cover your tank up with some towels so if your hand/tool slips, you're not scratching anything. Use one hand to keep the tool flat on the ring, the other to turn the ratchet. Counter clockwise to unmount, clockwise to mount the ring. I printed this with 100% infill (for strength) in PLA. Took about 12 hours to complete due to the 100% infill.
