Hatchet

Hatchet

I thought I'd try my hand at "making a hatchet": The print will obviously not hurt anything, but it was a fun process to design (in Maya), print, and combine with a hand-carved wooden handle. Instructions The handle is a hand-carved piece of scrap 2x4: But you could easily whittle down the end of a broom-handle to fit. I stained the handle ('espresso') to make it look 'old', and spray-painted the head to pull off the metal finish. Printed with dark gray PLA on my Replicator (1): Removable glass platform with blue painters tape. HBP Off. No supports or raft: Designed to not need any. 2 shells, 15% infill.
