You have to do no modifications on your device. What are the benefits? If you have a Replicator 2, the IDE heated build plate system offers you the option to use all the 3D printing materials that are available, you are no longer limited to PLA. Even if you still want to use PLA only, the heated build plate makes it possible to print very large parts, with no warping and an absolute flat and smooth bottom surface. You can print directly onto the glass surface. So you need no tapes (saves you money and work) anymore and also get an absolute smooth bottom surface on your objects and can remove the parts from the plate after cooling down with ease. Our IDE heated build plate system has an absolute flat surface, so you have a perfect first layer even on large parts and less print failures. More comfort cause of the removable (magnetic) glass plate. No more constantly leveling the build plate - you can remove and replace the glass plate and print without leveling.
