HBP Quick Leveler

After much pain trying to level with springs and to to hold the tolerance the TOM can print. I designed in ST3 a platform leveler that can level at easy to .001 of an inch and less. This design allows you to get to all four corners and easly and to ajust them to the right height and lock them into place. I uploaded STP files of all the parts for those who have requested a file they can change or manipulate. STP and IGES files are pretty much universial in the 3D world so most should be able to read them in. I designed the parts in Solid Edge ST3 so the virgin files are done in this. If someone needs a different format send me a note and I will do my best to help. Update: Please use JinxTheRabbit's version of the HBP Leveler Part1 A.stl part it prints much better than mine! Please down load his version athttp://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13023 he added a raft to the support and it works great! Note: I added IGES file of complete HBP assembly so folks can have access to all the parts and change them to there liking. Instructions 1st Print 4 of the platform brackets and 8 of the thumb wheels. 2nd Insert the 4 3mm nuts into the four corners for locking the platform to your TOM. Do this on all 4 corners. 3rd Bolt 4 brackets togehter using 8 3mm flat head socket screws and 8 3mm nuts. I used ones that are from McMaster Car # 949004-100. 4th Use 4 thum screws 3mm by 12mm long thumb screws to mount the platform to your TOM X wood plate. I used ones from Mcmaster car, you could also just use 4 3mm x 12mm hex bolts. I used thumbs so i could get it off easy for furture need. 5th Load eight 3mm nuts into the printed thumbs parts. I glued mine in so they where very tight and would not come lose. 6th Screw on 4 to each post, them load the HBP plate on the the platform with thumb scerws inserted and scew the plate down to your leveling height. Note the holes on the wood X plate need to be inlarged so the scews slip into them very easly!! Note: Part1_A has support added for over hangs and Part1_B has the support removed. Leveling Tips: 1st: level with your TOM nice and hot! 2nd: use .001 feller gaude to set level hight to proper level. 3rd: Use control panle to set you height and them adjust leveler to set the height with the feller gauge. Note: The feller gauge is .001" or .025mm so make sure you note this in your SF txt file calculation.
