The color is not a perfect match to the original Prusa orange but very close.</p> <p>Only the arm needs supports.</p> <p>Due to the design of the arm I had to reduce the print speed to about 25% of that of the case and lid.</p> <h3> Post-Printing</h3> <p><strong>Prepare</strong></p> <p>Make sure there is no oozing or anything to block the snap-fit</p> <p>Make sure the original screws fit in the screw holes for the pcb</p> <p>Make sure the arm fits (tightly) in the body.</p> <p>Make sure the lens screws in snugly</p> <p><strong>Assembly</strong></p> <ol> <li>Disassemble the HD3000 and keep the screws!<br/> I found a video of this: youtu.be/n6TQJI4boC0?t=6m22s</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Cut off the original body, I used side-cutters. Be careful of the wires!</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Desolder/ cut of the 3 cables for the build in mic. (you can maybe stash it inside the case, I don't know).</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Screw down the pcb into the case.</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Push the old cable relief into the hole for it.</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Push in the arm.</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Put on the lid. </li> </ol> <ol> <li>Guide the cable in the grove</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Screw on the lens</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Stick it on a standoff for the bed on the printer and tie the cable to the bed frame. </li> </ol> </p></p></p> Category: 3D Printer Accessories
